Gaku Matsuda / 松田 岳
Gaku Matsuda is a freelance Filmmaker based in Fukuoka, south of Japan and Melbourne. Growing up by the ocean and mountains, Gaku discovered his love of the outdoors, something he very much cherishes today. After graduating from university in Kyoto, Gaku found himself living in Australia, where his filmmaking career and passion truly began to flourish. After returning to Japan in 2020, Gaku has pushed further into all aspects of filmmaking from documentary to commercial. Although Gaku doesn't know what the future holds, he is going crazy for that.
宮崎市出身、現在福岡を拠点に活動する映像作家。
海や山に囲まれた自然環境で生まれ育つ。大学時代、京都の街並みをiPhoneで撮影したことをきっかけに、映像制作の奥深さに徐々にのめり込んでいく。大学卒業後に渡豪、稼いだお金を全てカメラ機材に費やし、自身のキャリアをスタートさせた。
現在は、「住」「自然」「人」を軸に映像制作の事業を行っており、他者や社会に還元できる映像の在り方、自分自身の在り方を追求している。
